Chloe's Birthday & Owen meeting Chloe for 1st time

Chloe Marie Pels
April 1, 2011
7 pounds, 9 ounces
19 1/2 inches long

Owen running to see his new baby sister in the nursery.

While Mommy and Daddy were staying at the hospital with Chloe, Owen was at home with Nana and Papa John. Each day that we were in the hospital, Owen had a "gift" from Chloe. His first gift was a baseball tee. I must say...he is a natural!!!
Imitating the baseball players on TV by pretending to hit the plate.
Getting a running start. TOO FUNNY!
Taking the action outside
Nana took this picture because she said this is the position he would take a lot while we were gone.
We got some new patio furniture and this picture is of Owen helping Nicky put the furniture together. Owen LOVES drills and so this was a perfect project for him to help with.
Sitting in the finished product.
Below is a picture of the first sit-down with Chloe and Owen. He has been absolutely wonderful with her and LOVES her so much! Mom and Dad have taken a backseat and Chloe is now his favorite.

Owen just gave Chloe "knuckles"
We took the excitement of Chloe's arrival outside, because his last "gift" from her was a sandbox.
Giving her knuckles again with Daddy's help.
Owen is saying "pet" Chloe. (like he pets Big Suzie and Scooter) Very funny!
Very excited about his gift!!!!!

We prayed about this day for 9 months worrying about how Owen was going to handle having a sibling at such a young age, but the Lord definitely knew what he was doing because Owen and Chloe could not be doing any better! We feel so blessed and lucky for the path the Lord has given us!

  1. Nana and Papa John are so thrilled that Chloe has arrived. She is a beautiful little girl. Owen and Chloe will have a lot of fun growing up together and Owen will be a great protector of his little sister. He already is!
Yes, God has blessed you and Greg with two precious children!
