Owen, water & Chlo Chlo

Owen absolutely LOVES being outside! We can spend anywhere from 2-3 hours outside. He will play with the dirt, water the bushes, water the grass, play with the sprinkler, but most of all he likes to fill up buckets with water. Below is a picture of him filling up his water bucket. Here he is deciding where he will dump the water...
This picture cracks me up! We have taught him that Mommy has Chloe in her belly, so he likes to lift my shirt up, and say "Chlo Chlo" to my belly. Sometimes I even get a kiss or a pat on the belly too! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU OWEN!!!!!
My sister telling Chloe it's okay to come out now. :)

20 month old

Below are some pictures from my cell phone of our 20 month old! I CANNOT BELIEVE he is already 20 months old.

Reading my Bible with cousin "Dorin" (Lauren)
Owen's new obsession, playing in Mommy & Daddy's flower beds or as he calls it, "dirt"
When I leave for my doctor appointments on Wednesday mornings, I grab my purse and say bye bye and tell Owen I am going to the doctor. Below is a picture of Owen grabbing his bag and he just told me, "bye bye, doctor"

An example of what happens each morning in about 2 minutes of playing.
Below is the garbage truck that comes to our alley every Tuesday to get the trash and recycle. Owen LOVES the "biiiiiiigggggg truck" as he calls it. One morning this week, we went to Jack In the Box for breakfast and saw the biiiiigggg truck dumping out the trash at the restaurant next door, so we pulled over so Owen could watch.
Watching the truck...
Eating my breakfast jack and watching the truck.
Owen I love you so very much! You are at a wonderful age and Mommy & Daddy are having such a great time growing with you! I wish you could stay little forever!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Chloe's Nursery, Owen's Monkey Room & Playroom

We have been busy getting things around the house ready for Chloe to arrive, so here are some pictures of our latest projects.

For Chloe's Nursery, we still have more to hang on the walls, but I have a feeling those items will get hung on the walls in the future after she has arrived. The beautiful letters and chandelier are from Greg's sister, Missy. Aren't they awesome?!!!

Owen is obsessed with many things...lawnmowers, vacuums, horses, etc....but he REALLY loves monkey's and sleeps with 2 Curious George monkeys....so we decided to transform his room into a "monkey" room. Owen calls the monkey's "George." SO CUTE!

This room used to be Greg's bar but has been transformed into the playroom and has really been great for Owen.
Yes, that is a "janitor cart" that you see. Our son LOVES to help sweep, mop, vacuum, etc. AWESOME!!! Start'em young!
The only items that stayed in the room from the "bar" were our college jerseys...
...oh and the TV.
Alright Chloe, we are all ready for you to get here! We know life is about to get crazy but we are SUPER excited for you to arrive! Owen is also extremely excited to meet his "Chlo Chlo!"

Christen's Baby Shower

My very good friend, Christen had a diaper shower in Azle for her 3rd baby due the 1st of May. It is her 3rd girl and I must say...she looks fabulous!!!! The host of the shower has a ranch on a couple of acres with a horse and donkey. Needless to say, our son was SUPER excited about the horse and donkey.....so much so, that I didn't think we were going to be able to leave for the evening because he was having so much fun.The beautiful house!!!
Walking down to the barn...
Checking out the horse and donkey.
Wanting to ride the horse SOOOO bad!!!!
Maybe if I crawl over this fence I can get on that horse!!!
Checking out our shadows...
Getting ready to run down the hill...
Ready....

Walking back up to the house to say hello to the neighbors donkey.
Feeding the donkey some carrots. I am glad we have dogs for this reason, because he wasn't scared of the animals at all.

Giving the donkey some love.
Christen's girls playing on the swing set and Owen in the sand box. :)
Thank you Christen for the invite! We had such a wonderful time and it was so good to see my friend!!!!!

Chloe's Shower

Below are some pictures of the shower my mother, sister and aunt gave us for our baby girl, Chloe Marie Pels. The shower was absolutely perfect and so many of our friends and family came making us feel so loved! Thanks again to everyone who came.Cupcakes made from my high school bud, Amanda (Kirk) Smith. She is a stay-at-home mom of 3 girls and makes desserts on the side for extra money. Aren't they cute?!
Here is a pic of everyone playing the toilet paper game. A roll of toilet paper is sent around the room and each person takes off as much toilet paper as they think would fit around my belly.
All the wonderful gifts!!!!
