3 months old

This week Owen turned 3 months old!!!! Can you believe it?! He is doing great, sleeping through the night, almost holding his head up by himself and cooing up a storm. He is developing the cutest most lovable personality!!! I just LOVE you Owen!!!!!!! Playtime with his girlfriend Campbell...he likes older girls!!! LOL!!! Campbell is my good friend Megan Walker's baby girl. She is 6 months old.

Many of my friends have asked for longer updates on Owen....so here it goes.....

1. Yesterday I am eating lunch with him in his swing and he starts to get really still and get this focused look on his face and I know what is about to happen......he is about to poop. As I inhale the rest of my lunch I can hear him pooping and as I go to pick him up and POOP is leaking from both legs of the diaper ALL over the swing. Owen has a look of accomplishment and satisfaction on his face while I am panicking trying to figure out how I am going to pick him up without getting more poop everywhere. As I pick him up (one hand under his neck and one hand under his legs...trying not to touch his bootie) MORE poop falls out of the diaper now flooding his WHITE swing. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! All in all I get him cleaned up and frantically try to figure out how to get his swing cover off so that I can put it in the washer. Three washes later the swing cover is all clean.

2. He LOVES tummy time now. For about 3 weeks he hated being on his tummy and then one day last week he decided he likes it now and will lift his head up. YAY!!!!

3. He prefers his thumb over the pacifier now. YIKES!!!

4. He LOVES to study your face as you talk to him and he tries to make the same facial expressions and sounds as you. Below are some pictures of his concentration. First he watches me...

...then after much thinking he mimics my facial movements.... (I just LOVE his smile)

Greg got Owen up Saturday morning and they had some Father/Son time. It is amazing how alike they are already.

Owen's Baptism

Owen got Baptized today at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas. He did such a good job and even talked or gave some "coos" to the congregation.

2 Months Old

Owen had his 2 month check-up yesterday and he was a trooper. He weights 12.15 pounds (80%) and is 23 1/8 inches long (50%). He got four shots & DID NOT LIKE THEM AT ALL! Here was his face when we got home from the doctor...
Then a couple hours later our little boy decided to join us again.... :)

Oh, and here is some tummy time. :)
